£100 for a 5 week course (3hours a week)

Ready to take your songwriting further? This course is for writers who already have some experience creating songs and want to develop their own voice, strengthen their ideas and explore new approaches to writing.

Over five weeks, you’ll explore how experienced songwriters shape and refine their work. Through practical exercises, discussion, listening examples and collaborative writing, you’ll learn about:

  • How to develop your own artistic voice, influences and creative identity
  • How to use structure, repetition, perspective and songwriting techniques to create impact
  • How to rewrite and refine songs to make ideas stronger and more meaningful
  • How melody, harmony, arrangement and dynamics can shape emotion and storytelling
  • How to write to a brief and collaborate with other writers

You’ll experiment with different creative approaches, challenge your usual ways of working and build confidence in making intentional choices in your songwriting.

Led by experienced singer-songwriter Frankie Jobling, this course will help you develop your craft and leave with new tools, techniques and ideas to keep your songwriting moving forward.

Your songwriting journey doesn’t have to stop when this course ends. Our new weekly Songwriting Social is a space to keep writing, experimenting and connecting with other songwriters in a relaxed, creative space – find out more here.

This class is for adults over 18.
