The haunting yet stirring Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis starts your evening, which is capped with Elgar’s tender and meltingly beautiful Serenade. In between you’ll hear Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings, music that’s brimming over with ideas, wit and energy.
