Top-notch spots to eat and meet
We’ve got six bars, a café, and a restaurant – all with absolutely smashing riverside views of the Newcastle skyline. So whether you’re looking for a drink before a gig, a snack after your class, or just a place to catch up with friends, you’re sorted.
Our Café
If the building’s open, the café’s open. So you can settle in with a drink (hot or cold), one of our fresh-made sandwiches, soups, or salads, or something tasty and warming from our hot food menu whenever and whatever you’re here for.
We usually close up half an hour before the building does. But if you’re in for a gig or concert in the evening, we’ll stop serving after the interval. You can still grab a drink at the bars though.
Our Bars
The bars open whenever there’s a performance. We start serving two hours before the gig or concert gets going, then last orders are 30 minutes after the show ends. (And if you fancy a late one, any drinks you order in that half hour are 10% off. Grand.)
Avoid the interval queues by pre-ordering your drinks before the show. Simply place your order at the bar, and your drinks will be ready for you during the interval. This service is available on select nights, so ask a team member for more details.
Our Brasserie
Whether you’re coming along to a concert, or just in the mood for food, our brasserie is the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the atmosphere. We’re open exclusively on gig nights, so follow the link below to book your table and check out the menu.

Drink in some homegrown talent
Loads of our alcoholic drinks come from people like Molson Coors and Hadrian Border Brewery – who name all their beers after places between here and the Scottish Border. We also have a selection of 0% drinks including Sipsmith 0% gin, wine, beer and cider.
Our coffee is all from Ringtons, a family business who’ve been keeping Newcastle caffeinated for over 100 years. And everyone’s go-to interval snack is Doddington Dairy’s flavour-packed ice-cream, handmade with full-cream milk from Northumberland’s friendliest cows.
