Michael Lamb’s Strictly Smokin’ Big Band returns to The Glasshouse with multi-award winning saxophonist and composer Emma Rawicz. The program will feature Emma on many of her own compositions alongside the SSBB and Alice Grace.
Emma has been making waves on the UK music scene and beyond. At the age of 21 she’s already recorded and released an eagerly awaited debut album ‘Incantation’ made up entirely of her original compositions. Her second album ‘Chroma’ was released in August 2023.

About Emma Rawicz
Devon born and now London based, Emma Rawicz has led her band for appearances at overseas festivals and completed major UK tour for her quintet. She regularly plays established London venues like Ronnie Scott’s and The Jazz Cafe either headlining with her band or playing as a member of other well known ensembles. Emma’s a recipient of the 2021 Drake Yolanda Award and winner of ‘Best Newcomer’ at the 2022 Parliamentary Jazz Awards and has a Jazz FM award to her name, as well as being a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician competition.
