Northern duo Smith & Liddle may have never been to the desert and or been around in the 70s, but their music wouldn’t sound out of place on the FM waves blasting from a Cadillac driving through the California desert in that bygone era. ‘Songs For The Desert,’ Smith & Liddle’s debut album is packed with nostalgia and musical wonderment.
The duo wrote these songs during a rainy year in their hometowns while dreaming of being transported to the Californian music scene that stars of the Laurel Canyon and soft rock icons like Fleetwood Mac and The Doobie Brothers were born out of.
