THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Ambient & Experimental legend William Basinski plays a rare live headline set, performing 2020 album Lamentations, for the return of Me Me Me to Sage Gateshead.

The event also features the debut performance of NXS8, the experimental Audio Visual symphony written by Me Me Me founder Geoff Kirkwood (aka Man Power) in his guise of ‘Bed Wetter’ during his time as Sage Artist in Residence

NXS8 will be performed by Royal Northern Sinfonia and is presented by ‘Bed Wetter’ alongside noted orchestral arranger Fiona Brice and North East Video specialists NOVAK.

The event also features a performance from Sage Gateshead’s 22-23 Artist in Residence, Late Girl. Late Girl is an experimental take on programmed beat music. She integrates found sounds into melodies, which she processes live and combines with vocals, using both programming tools and traditional composition. Her background is in classical music, later developing into becoming an electronic musician and composer.
