Ustad Dharambir Singh MBE is one of the most prominent sitar players and music educators based in the U.K. A student of the legendary Ustad Vilayat Khan, he also studied for his MA at the School Of Oriental and African studies at the University of London and is a fellow of NESTA (National Endowment for Science Technology and Arts) and FTCL (Fellow Trinity College London). He was awarded an MBE award by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2011.
Accompanying Dharambir will be his son, Kaviraj Singh, a musician known for his mastery of the Santoor and Indian vocals. Over the years, Kaviraj has garnered immense acclaim for his performances, exuding a rare blend of technical brilliance, emotional depth, and artistic finesse, making him a highly sought-after artist in the realm of Indian classical music.
Also joining them will be Pandit Sanju Sahai, one of the finest and most sought after tabla players of his generation. Belonging to the Benares Gharana and being the 6th generation of tabla players in the lineage, he is a phenomenal musician, known for mesmerising and captivating his audience with his power, virtuosity and complete spontaneity.
