THIS EVENT HAS PASSED

Unfortunately, due to illness Nicola Benedetti will no longer be able to join our line-up of three young superstar soloists this weekend.

We’re delighted that the incredibly talented violinist Hyeyoon Park is able to join Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Benjamin Grosvenor for what promises to be two extra special concerts with Royal Northern Sinfonia and principal conductor Dinis Sousa.

‘Due to illness, I am unable to perform with the Royal Northern Sinfonia later this week. I am so sorry to miss performing to audiences in Gateshead as well as working with local talented young musicians and hope to be able to return to Gateshead soon. Huge thanks to Hyeyoon Park for stepping in last minute.’

One of the world’s most exciting artists, Hyeyoon made her debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra aged nine and has since gone on to perform on almost every major stage – with every major orchestra – across the globe, and is a regular duo partner of Benjamin Grosvenor.

We send Nicola our best wishes for a speedy recovery!
