Some stories just sound like home. The clink of vinegar bottles. The call of the seagulls. The chatter of Ocean Road. The hiss of fresh fish hitting the fryer.
For more than 100 years, the Colman family has been soundtracking chippy teas, seaside strolls and the age-old debate over who gets the last chip.
We’ve all enjoyed what’s wrapped in the paper. Now it’s time to unwrap the story behind it.
Following a sold-out premiere, Out and About with the Colmans continues its journey up the Tyne to The Glasshouse.
Expect a proper portion of North East nostalgia, a few laughs, a few surprises and probably a salty tear or two.
Afterwards hear directly from the Colman family and the Local Heroes team as they serve up the stories that never made the final cut, answer your questions and prove there’s far more to Colmans than meets the fryer.
