Mercury Fringe: Tim’s Listening Party with Lanterns on the Lake

Since starting on 23 March 2020, Tim Burgess’s legendary Listening Parties have brought music lovers together for 1,366 albums and counting. What began online has taken to festival stages and venues across the UK, becoming an award-winning radio show (winning a Gold ARIA for Best New Show) and a chart-topping podcast. Now, The Listening Party Live comes to The Glasshouse, where Tim will host a conversation with Tyneside band Lanterns on the Lake while listening to their Mercury Prize-nominated album Spook the Herd.
Known for their cinematic, atmospheric sound and heartfelt songwriting, Lanterns on the Lake join Tim to revisit the making of this acclaimed record, sharing stories, memories, and the songs themselves.

There is no reserved seating – so you can sit wherever you like when you arrive. If you have specific access requirements just get in touch with Box Office and they’ll help you out.
Once you’ve booked your ticket, that’s it, you’re in! But, we know how it goes with free events… sometimes life gets in the way. These nights are always buzzing, so if you can’t make it, let us know by logging into your account, clicking ‘My Upcoming Events’ then the ‘I can’t make it, return my tickets’ button so that someone else gets a chance to come to the gig.
On the night we’ll have a standby queue of people who missed out on booking tickets, so if you’re not here by 7.25pm, we’ll take it as a no-show and pass your ticket on to the next person in line.
