Make Music Workshop
London African Gospel Choir Masterclass and Workshop
Rhythmic. Soulful. An immersive celebration of traditional African Gospel music.
Led by members of the internationally celebrated London African Gospel Choir, renowned for sold-out performances across the UK, Europe, and the US, and acclaimed reinterpretations of Paul Simon’s Graceland, this vibrant workshop brings the sound, soul, and movement of African Gospel music to life.
The session will begin with a glimpse into the rich heritage of African Gospel music – where rhythm, harmony, and dance are woven into everyday celebration. Voices and bodies will then move together through traditional dance steps before learning uplifting songs, such as ‘Avulekile’, building its melody and meaning as a group.
Following a short break, further vocal warm-ups and sectional-work will open the door to layered harmonies and shared sound, adding even more energy and joy.
