Ken Masters is a first wave Hip Hop artist, educator and activist.

Through his engagement in Hip Hop culture, Ken has developed skills as an Emcee, Beatmaker and DJ, and owns an impressive and eclectic record collection, acquired through both his love of music, and his obsession with sample hunting!

In “The Rise OF The DJ – A Hip Hop History”, Ken will take people on a journey from the origins of the Hip Hop DJ, Turntablism and the modern day cultural influences.

This will be an informative and interactive session with cultural and political references, as well as practical hands on activities, the aim being to provide detailed context, cultural appreciation and introductory skills for aspiring Deejays, and anyone interested in the art of Turntablism.
