The Glasshouse Studios
Open Mic Night – Songwriters Club
Original. Supportive. Your songs, your stage.
Join us for a relaxed and inclusive Open Mic Night for anyone who’s created their own original songs.
Whether you’ve been writing for years, you’ve just started, or you’ve recently finished a song you’re excited to share, this is a space to perform your own music and hear what other people are creating.
Expect a welcoming audience, a low-pressure atmosphere, and plenty of good vibes.
Solo artists can perform with backing tracks or acoustic accompaniment, and acoustic bands are welcome too.
The Songwriters Club Open Mic is all about sharing your music, building confidence and connecting with other musicians in a friendly, accessible and supportive space.
There’s no need for your songs to be perfect or for you to be a seasoned performer – just bring a song you’ve created and share it with the room.
Performers get free entry, while friends, family and music fans are welcome to join us in the audience. Come along, support the artists and enjoy an evening of original live music.

Fancy taking to the stage?
We’d love to hear from you.
Our Open Mic Night welcomes singers performing their own original music with backing tracks or instrument accompaniment, vocal groups, instrumentalists and acoustic ensembles. Whether you’re trying something new, testing out some material or just fancy sharing a few songs, this is a supportive space to give it a go.
To help us fit as many performers into the night as possible, we can’t accommodate full drum kits. Light percussion and acoustic setups are absolutely welcome
A few things to help the night run smoothly
Bringing a backing track?
You can send your audio files to studios@theglasshouseicm.org in advance, or bring a playback device with a headphone jack on the night.
USB sticks can sometimes decide not to play ball, so if you’re bringing your audio on one, we recommend having a backup option too.
Your time on stage
Each act can have up to 15 minutes to perform, helping us give as many people as possible their moment in the spotlight.
Your performance slot
We’ll allocate slots in advance wherever possible and share the final running order closer to the event. Spaces are limited, so registering your interest doesn’t automatically guarantee a performance slot.
If we need to check anything about your setup or performance beforehand, we’ll get in touch.
And performers don’t need to buy a ticket – if you’ve got a confirmed performance slot, you’re all set.
Then all that’s left to do is choose your songs, practise your Christmas number if you’re feeling festive, and get ready to take the stage.
