John Grant with Royal Northern Sinfonia Streamed Concert
“Positively spine tingling” ***** – The Guardian
In November 2014 American singer-songwriter John Grant came together with Royal Northern Sinfonia, orchestra of Sage Gateshead, to collaborate artistically and tour the UK. It sold out everywhere and was seen live by nearly 12,000 people.
This tour was commissioned and produced by Music Beyond Mainstream (MBM), a consortium of UK venues committed to presenting ambitious artistic collaborations at scale and was supported by Arts Council England.
Due to Covid-19, the future of the venues who participated in this tour as well as hundreds of other music venues across the UK is now in doubt. Without support, some may struggle to reopen.
This concert is being streamed for free by kind agreement of John Grant, Royal Northern Sinfonia and the touring partners, in support of the Music Venue Trust #saveourvenues campaign.
Music Venue Trust is a registered charity working on behalf of nearly 800 venues, providing sector support, lobbying, fundraising, networking and crisis support services. They highlight the vital relationship between venues and the artists they nurture.
