Featuring
High Fade
The incredible High Fade will open the show with an exclusive set of razor-sharp funk and disco. This Edinburgh-born trio has rapidly gained global attention, amassing over 30 million views and streams within six months of their debut. Praised and noticed by music icons like Jack Black, Cypress Hill, Deep Purple’s Glenn Hughes, and Brad Wilk from Rage Against The Machine, they’ve impressed crowds on UK and US tours (including packed out shows at Trillians and The Cluny) and at Glastonbury. Harry, Oli, and Calvin are back to deliver a special performance that promises to surpass anything their fans have experienced before.
Jason Cook
The brilliant Jason Cook will also be performing on the night! An award-winning comedian, TV/ film writer and actor, Jason will compère the show and is guaranteed to bring lots of fun and laughter to it. Jason’s own well-known event: ‘Laffs for Kids’ comedy show has become so popular–and raised so much money for NE children–that it now takes place at Newcastle Utilita Arena. Jason has performed as a stand-up comedian throughout the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Europe and runs his own comedy club at The Customs House Theatre in South Shields.
Si King
Beloved TV chef, writer, broadcaster, director, musician and friend of groovetrain Si King will play with the band on this magical night of live music and laughter! After a break from live music performances following the sad passing of his Hairy Bikers partner, Dave Myers, Si returns to the stage. Si hails from the North East and is best known as one half of The Hairy Bikers. The duo entertained viewers for over two decades with 27 award-winning TV series and 32 bestselling cookbooks. Although the Hairy Bikers’ journey came to an end earlier this year when Dave passed away, their legacy lives on.
Si frequently collaborates with groovetrain’s Michael Lavery on various music, charity, and cultural projects, supporting causes like the Sir Graham Wylie Foundation and MIND.
