Who’s on stage

Charismatic conductor Stephanie Childress and pianist Piotr Anderszewski are the guest stars for this evening’s concert with Royal Northern Sinfonia.

What they’re playing

Anton Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, better known as the ‘New World Symphony’. Yes, it’s grand and powerful, but more than anything it’s just absolutely packed with great tunes.
Also on the programme is Beethoven’s stunningly beautiful piano concerto and a piece by Benn Lunn whose music has been described as ‘other-worldly’.
