Durham University Orchestra with Sir Thomas Allen
Please note that Sage Gateshead will have social distancing in place for the duration of June 2021. Tickets booked together will be sat together, with a socially distanced space between separate bookings.
When booking your tickets please observe current regulations and only book tickets as one party if all members are within one household or one bubble.
Durham University Orchestral Society present a concert celebrating music at Durham University. The concert will feature great orchestral classics such as Stravinsky’s Firebird 1919 Suite, Wagner’s Prelude & Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde and Beethoven’s 8th Symphony. As part of the programme, we are excited to present a world premiere, student composition commissioned by DUOS for the Chancellor, Sir Thomas Allen, to perform as a narrator alongside the orchestra.
In a rare concert outside of Durham, this is not a performance to miss!
