Brahms’ Violin Concerto

Who’s on stage
Royal Northern Sinfonia is directed by Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska for a lively season finale to Middlesbrough Classics at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
What they’re playing
Gorgeous melodies, richly satisfying musical textures, and a solo part that leaves the audience open-mouthed with wonder; Brahms’ Violin Concerto stops you in your tracks, so it’s no wonder that it’s been an audience favourite pretty much since its premiere. A selection of music with a strongly central-European character starts the night; punchy, bold, and at times, sweetly romantic.
This concert includes a free pre-concert talk at 2pm in The Old Fire Station.
