Block Party is a proper Tyne-side takeover. Inside. Outside. Riverside. All alive with all out sunshine mode morning ’til late.
Wander 20+ independent traders, as our makers market takes over the Concourse once again. Grab an ice cream. Or a slice from Hizzy’s. A pint from Wylam. An iced latte if that’s more your thing.
Our resident DJs Omar Disku and Westy go back-to-back all day long – funk, groove, house and to see you through. Dip into The Playlist as it launches for the first time. Games, colouring, pop-in moments… plenty to stumble across as you go.
And just down the river, our neighbours at Baltic are bringing the heat too. annual Art Car Boot Fair with 50 stalls of arts, crafts and more. There are two brand new exhibitions open this day in our biggest galleries plus artist talks, free tours, drop-in creative sessions and more. The day rounds off with a sizzling Summer Preview Party with pizza, cocktails and DJs for dancing with summer vibes.
