North East jazz artist Rivkala opens the concert, you might have spotted her performing at last year’s Proms or caught her on BBC Introducing as one of their ones to watch for 2025

A special edition of Soweto’s acclaimed late-night BBC Radio 3 show ‘Round Midnight. This exciting Prom celebrates the best jazz from all eras and around the globe, as well as shining a spotlight on the talents of new UK jazz artists.
This Prom will be recorded for future broadcast on BBC Radio.
