Who’s on stage
The ever-eclectic conductor and arranger Robert Ames teams up with home orchestra Royal Northern Sinfonia to kick off this year’s BBC Proms festivities in Gateshead. He’s a familiar face at The Glasshouse now. You might have seen him at the Proms with Self Esteem and Jordan Rakei, The Sound of Space concert recently, or even conducting Philip Glass’ The Bowie Symphonies back in 2022.
