South Tyneside-born singer-songwriter Nadine Shah is back on home turf for a special Proms performance on our concourse. She’s joined by orchestra Royal Northern Sinfonia and conducted by Ellie Slorach, plus special guest Knats.

Songs from each of Nadine Shah’s albums, including new music, amplified by orchestra. Nadine Shah’s music pulls no punches - digging into grief, womanhood and addiction with a sound that’s both intimate and unflinching.

Geordie Jazz. That’s what Newcastle trio Knats call their thrilling mix of jazz, rock, punk and club culture.
Bassist Stan Woodward, drummer King David-Ike Elechi and trumpeter Ferg Kilsby have earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting young bands, combining virtuosic musicianship with huge grooves and relentless energy.
Their latest album, A Great Day In Newcastle, is a love letter to their home city – full of grit, humour and unmistakable North East character.
