Who's playing

George Boomsma

George Boomsma is a singer-songwriter hailing from Northallerton, North Yorkshire. Known for his emotive vocals and soulful guitar playing, George has crafted a sound with warmth and melancholy, captivating listeners. His music weaves together themes of relationships, family, self-acceptance, grief, and navigating life’s uncertainties.

Over the years, George has shared the stage with artists like Richard Thompson, Scott Matthews and Katherine Priddy. His songs have been played on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music and RTE Radio 1.

In April 2024, George unveiled his debut album, The Promise of Spring, a collection of deeply personal, beautifully crafted critically acclaimed songs. This milestone has secured his place as a rising star in the music scene.

Known for creating an intimate atmosphere in his live performances, his shows are a captivating experience—his pure, resonant voice paired with delicate guitar work draws audiences in, leaving a lasting impression. He performs across the UK, sharing music with an ever-growing fanbase.

watersmeet

watersmeet is Anna Hughes and Jessie Howard. Partners in life and in music, they came together in 2022, creating slow-burning, heartfelt songs with lofty melodies. Guitar arrangements meet spacious harmonium drones creating a dreamlike yet grounded sound carried by harmonies. Their music explores rest and restlessness, nature and wildness, guiding listeners into a space of reflection and reverie.

Having quickly gained a loyal following through extensive gigging across the North East, watersmeet have made waves with performances at venues and festivals. They’ve shared stages with The Early Purple, Manu Delago and had a sold-out EP launch in Newcastle with their extended studio band featuring Bertie Armstrong, Calum Howard, Francesca Knowles and Edward Harbot. Their live shows are known for their intimacy and warmth, capturing the magic of their studio recordings.

watersmeet’s debut EP, carried away, was released on November 2024, following a Kickstarter campaign that raised 174% of their funding goal. Supported by Generator’s Create:Release programme, it garnered critical praise and airplay, with tracks featured on BBC Radio Newcastle and BBC Radio 6 Music. The duo have earned press recognition, with Music Republic Magazine naming carried away EP of the year among other accolades.

Nadia Kadek

Introducing Nadia Kadek, a 22-year-old British-Indonesian artist whose evocative blend of minimalist alt-pop and singer-songwriter sensitivity signals a compelling new voice in contemporary music. With a warm, richly textured vocal presence that channels introspective power, Kadek crafts songs that are both stark and deeply emotive.

Raised in the quiet countryside of Norfolk, Nadia describes herself as a “festival baby,” with early musical memories formed on long car journeys to campsites, soundtracked by the likes of Florence + The Machine and Jeff Buckley. Now based in London, Kadek has steadily built a devoted following through the power of her live performances.

Her debut single ‘Feeling It All’ is the first glimpse into a forthcoming project – a collection that sits in the bittersweet glow of late summer, navigating nostalgia, family dynamics, fleeting romances, and the quiet resilience of forgiveness.
