Champ
Champ have made quite the impression following the release of their debut EP last December, with lead singles ‘Taste To Run’ and ‘Born In The Wild End’ and praise arriving from the likes of NME and Rolling Stone, as well as plays on the BBC Radio 1 and Radio X airwaves. Following sold out shows in London, Manchester and their hometown in the North East, as well as packed out appearances as The Great Escape and Kendal Calling, the band’s live reputation continues to grow with rave reviews circulating throughout the press landscape.
Bringing guitar driven anthems with stories of the experiences and characters that have defined them as best mates growing up together, the group are readying their following up to last years ‘Born In The Wild End’ EP, as they become an ever-growing presence on the emerging indie circuit.
Patrick Gosling
Hailing from coastal South Shields, Patrick Gosling has been plucking away at his solo project for six years now, carving out his path into becoming one of the most prominent musical talents in North East England. Having joined his very first band at eleven years old, the songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist is a sturdy diamond in a minefield of hidden gems. Such a vast dedication of time within the industry certainly warrants experience, and skill, but Patrick’s music stretches beyond these boundaries; it carries all the sonic power of your favourite records while holding onto the ability to tug your heartstrings like they’ve not quite ever been tugged before. If your shelf is populated with the likes of Wilco, Mac DeMarco, Big Thief, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, all odds point to you populating it with Patrick Gosling too. It’s a deep-rooted, strongly led DIY ethic that has pointed Patrick to where he is now – he has garnered opportunities for himself that many could only dream of, including headlining German festival Kultur-Biergarten Rippershausen, receiving competitive support from We Make Culture’s PRS funded Next Steps programme, and even playing at career-defining venues like the Stadium of Light.
