Royal Northern Sinfonia, with Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska directing from the violin.

What they’re playing

Some composers spend a lifetime finding their voice. Mozart found his early. This concert brings together three works written before he turned 20, each bursting with confidence, character and ideas that still sound fresh today.

You’ll hear a sparkling string divertimento, the playful ‘Turkish’ Violin Concerto, and Symphony No. 29 – the symphony that showed just how far Mozart’s music could go. Full of warmth, wit and melodies that seem to arrive one after another, it’s music that’s just as irresistible today as it was more than 250 years ago.
