A Good Company of Musick: Royal Northern Sinfonia with Ben Lunn
Who’s on stage
Sunderland composer Ben Lunn joins forces with Royal Northern Sinfonia Orchestra for a concert that’s a love letter to his home town and forgotten parts of its history.
What they’re playing
Dive into the North East’s musical past, discover hidden stories of musicians who were once household names, and hear how they echo on in new pieces written here today. Together they bring the lost voices of composers Charles Avison, John Garth and William Herschel back to life and shine a light on the poetry of William Martin in Ben’s new work ANNA MARRA MISSA.
ANNA MARRA MISSA is commissioned by Royal Northern Sinfonia, with support from the Royal Philharmonic Society.
