The Glasshouse Staff Picks for Autumn 2025

Our latest gig guide featuring an Autumn packed with music is out now.

We’ve asked some of our team to tell us a bit about the shows they’re looking forward to the most from this guide. There’s a mix of returning favourites and new discoveries? Take a listen, book a ticket, and let us know what you’re looking forward to most…

Black Country, New Road

Saturday 20 September / Sage One

‘This band just keep evolving and surprising us. Since their explosive debut album there’s been a journey from post-punk to something that draws in folk, jazz, classical and rock to create some kind of beautiful baroque pop melting pot. Every tour is a must-see because you never know what they’ll sound like next.’

Orchestral Qawwali Project

Saturday 27 September

‘The Orchestral Qawwali Project is heading to Gateshead for the first time, and it’s something else entirely, especially if you like your music hard to pin down. Composer Rushil Ranjan and vocalist Abi Sampa lead an ensemble that breathes new life into Western classical, South Asian music and Indian classical dance. Beautiful to watch.’

Emma-Jean Thackray presents WIERDO

Friday 31 October / Sage Two

‘I’m really excited for Emma-Jean Thackray to come back to The Glasshouse. She’s played here on previous tours and always puts on an incredible show. Her new album Weirdo is brilliant, it really shows off what a versatile and talented musician she is. I caught her supporting Kamasi Washington here in April, and she was amazing. If I could give one bit of advice: grab your ticket now before it sells out!’
