Music is for everyone, no exceptions.
Music Spark is a creative music programme for young people and adults with additional needs and disabilities – a space for people to explore music, build real skills, express themselves creatively and experience the joy of making music together.
Some members are picking up an instrument for the first time. Others are writing songs, experimenting with music technology or getting ready to perform on stage. Everyone joins at their own level, with encouragement and space to grow, be challenged, and be celebrated.
Sessions are shaped around the people in the room and the music they connect with, creating space for creativity, collaboration and musical growth through rehearsal, songwriting and performance.
Members build musical skills, friendships and trust in their own ideas. They learn how to listen, support each other and work together as a band.
At its heart, Music Spark is about helping people discover their musical voice, build meaningful connections experience the pride that comes from creating music together.

Music Spark Red
Thursdays, 5pm – 7pm
£225 per term
Music Spark Red is a songwriting and band project for members who are ready to take the next step in their musical journey and shape their own creative ideas.
Working together in a supportive and ambitious group, members write original songs, develop arrangements and build their skills as performers, collaborators and songwriters.
Everyone has the chance to lead their own song, exploring lyrics, melodies and musical ideas with support from the rest of the group. In return, they’ll help bring each other’s music to life by contributing ideas, shaping arrangements and performing together as a band.
Using instruments, vocals and music technology, members build confidence in their creativity while developing their performance, songwriting and ensemble skills. There’s plenty of space to experiment, try new ideas and discover what works, without worrying about getting everything perfect first time.
The year ends with a performance of original music at the Music Spark Show, celebrating everything the group has created together.
