Step Up Wind and Brass

DSC_0358-v2

Take wind and brass playing to the next level while having a blast!

The Step Up Wind and Brass programme welcomes young musicians who’ve come through our Foundation programme, but it’s also a perfect starting point for any young wind and brass players.

Children can join with any wind or brass instrument they love – flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, French horn or any brass band instrument. If they’re just starting out and in Year 5 or above, get in touch with us; we can help choose the right instrument and guide you into the Step Up Wind and Brass Programme.

Young people will get the full package: one-to-one instrumental lessons, a fun 45-minute ‘Music Language’ class, and the chance to play with others in our Step Up Orchestra, Step Up Sinfonia, or recorder ensemble. It’s the ideal next step for children who’ve been part of Foundation Wind and Brass, and equally brilliant for beginners who want to develop their skills on a woodwind or brass instrument.

30-minute one-to-one lesson + 45-minute music language class + 90-minute ensemble where music comes alive.
