Foundation & Step Up

Fun and friendly classes that’ll get your young one learning and playing to develop their early skills as a musician.

Pick from a range of musical styles with lessons or ensembles where they’ll get to play with other young musicians.

Applications for Make Music Young People Weekend School are now closed, but if you still want to join in we would love to hear from you; you can email youngmusicians@theglasshouseicm.org for more information and late applications and one of the team will help.

Singing

Musical games and rhymes, movement activities and singing together as a choir – it’s all about building those important musical skills for young singers. And a perfect way to get them ready to learn to play an instrument or progress with their singing in future.

Foundation Singing

  • Saturdays. 24/25 time: 9.30am – 10.30am | 25/26 time 9.15am – 10.15am
  • Termly Fee: £90

Step Up Singing

  • School Years: Year 4 – 9
  • Saturdays. 24/25 time: 10.30am – 11.30am | 25/26 time: 10.30am – 12pm
  • Termly fee: £100
  • Full and partial bursaries available

Strings

Young string players can learn all about their new instruments including violin, viola, cello and bass, and build skills in musical notation, playing in a group and even performing in one of our youth ensembles.

Wind and Brass

Get to know the world of wind and brass with introductions to flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, tuba and French horn, while developing your young player’s musical skills from individual lessons up to performing in one of our youth ensembles.
