Big Sing: One Earth
Uplifting. Hopeful. Singing together for our planet.
One Earth is a celebration of our planet and a chance to explore both its wonders and its challenges. Using curated resources from the Sing Up Song Bank, you and your young people will explore topics such as recycling, sustainability and climate change through song, discovering what makes Earth so special and why it matters.
Whether you learn all the songs or simply join in with the choruses, the resources are designed to help you bring singing into the classroom with confidence and enjoyment.
The summer term culminates in an electrifying live performance in Sage One. Presented by our talented Big Sing Band and staged to perfection by our in-house Tech Team, young voices from across the region come together to sing it loud and proud at this professional-level gig for our planet.
After all, we only have One Earth.
How it works
Use the resources to learn the songs in school throughout the summer term, then join hundreds of other children at The Glasshouse for a professionally staged singing event with a live band. With no audience to perform to, everyone can relax, sing together and enjoy the magic of making music.
Big Sing 2027: One Earth includes...
April-July – Big Sing Resources & Teacher Training access
Via the Sing Up Song Bank. Includes audio tracks, teaching notes and lyrics. Pre-recorded teacher training video available to access in your own time.
Thursday 20 May – Live Online Teaching Clinic, 4pm-5pm via Microsoft Teams
Bring all your questions, whether it’s songs, curriculum links or how your trip to The Glasshouse will work, and we’ll set your mind at ease.
Tuesday 22 June – Celebration Day
75 minutes singing together in The Glasshouse’s spectacular Sage One with a live professional band. Performances at:

Life Science Centre will provide pre-show entertainment at each show, from 10.05am & 1.05pm

Can’t make the performance date?
£60 for access to Pre-recorded Teacher Training, Live Online Teaching Clinic & Resources only
*5% discount on package price for all schools with a valid Sing Up membership during April-July 2027. Additional tickets will be charged at £6 per head, as above.
Please note performances are closed events for paying schools only, parents/public are not permitted.

Submission of this form is not a confirmation of your booking.
Booking requests can come in quickly, and sometimes we can’t update our forms fast enough. We’ll be in touch as soon as we can to let you know if your requested day & time was successful.
If your request is successful:
Booking confirmation:
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking request within 14 days of submitting your form. This will secure your spaces on the project.
If you do not hear from us in the first 14 days, please get in touch school.bookings@theglasshouseicm.org to ensure nothing has got lost.
Booking Order Confirmations from our Box Office Team will be sent out via email from January 2027 onwards.
Invoicing for the project will aim to take place between 15-30 April 2027.
Cancellation:
Please inform us in writing at school.bookings@theglasshouseicm.org as soon as you can if you wish to cancel your booking request.
Cancellation charges:
Once your booking is confirmed, cancellation charges will apply from Tuesday 20 April 2027 onwards.
0% on or before Monday 19 April 2027, 50% on or before Thursday 20 May 2027 (Online Teaching Clinic Day), 100% thereafter.
Changes to bookings: If you need to amend your booked numbers or details between now and the booking closing date, Friday 19 March 2027, please get in touch as soon as possible. Once the project has begun, small changes can be made to your booking by emailing school.bookings@theglasshouseicm.org. Significant changes (other than cancellation), which may reduce your fee or greatly increase the number of seats you require, will be looked at on a case-by-case basis.
Sing Up Membership status and 5% discount:
Your Sing Up membership status will be checked prior to invoicing to ensure it is still valid during the project period, so the invoice price may differ to your order summary if it has since expired. The discount is valid for all Sing Up member schools and is applied to the package price only. Additional tickets will be charged at full price.

The Big Sing and Big Sing for Mini Singers is supported by The Kavli Trust. The Big Sing programme brings the joy of singing to more than 3,000 children in schools across the North East and Cumbria region, culminating in a series of inspirational concerts at The Glasshouse. The Kavli Trust, which owns Norway’s Kavli group, produces the well-known Kavli and Primula spreadable cheeses and Q-Meieriene dairy products as well as other food products in Norway, Sweden, Finland and the UK have worked with The Glasshouse since 2014, supporting culture.
