Ben Cottrell is a conductor, composer, arranger, and producer best known for his work with Beats & Pieces Big Band, which he founded in 2008. The band has toured extensively in GB, Europe, and North America, and recently released long-awaited 4th album ‘Good Days’ to widespread acclaim. As conductor/ arranger Ben has worked with artists and organisations such as Mike Westbrook, Laura Mvula, Everything Everything, BBC Proms and orchestras, Metropole Orkest, and Heritage Orchestra.

He also runs independent label Efpi Records, specialising in jazz, improvised, and experimental music developed in and around the North of England’s flourishing scenes.
