Belle Scar

Captivating, glamorous and bold, Belle Scar is a distinctive singer-songwriter, producer and creative director originally from Montreal who relocated to London UK. Her deep emotional voice transcends with her cinematic music at times redolent of a Tim Burton film score and other times a mash-up between Nina Simone, Portishead and Nick Cave. Producing her own shows independently, she recently performed a sold-out show at Lilian Baylis Studio, Sadler’s Wells  with a full band including strings and choir. In March 2023 she performed at the Royal Festival Hall for the Women of the World Festival 2023 with a special intimate set on the piano.

Having recently reconnected to her classical roots, Belle Scar likes to experiment between electric, acoustic instruments, electronic sounds along with orchestrated and choral arrangements to always create something new and exciting.

Her latest work is a personal album composed after her son was born, the aftermaths of cancer in the family, life in the pandemic as well as acknowledging and accepting her neurodiversity, her identity and trying to navigate the cycles of life with a fascination about the universe, space, time in all it’s mysterious ways, strangeness, darkness and beauty.
