The Colin Holt band with Snake Davis and the Tyne Horns
Hypnotising. Atmospheric. Timeless songs delivered with charisma.
Colin Holt, originally from Morley, West Yorkshire, has been an established figure in and around the Teesside music scene since 1983. He’s regarded as an expert composer and wordsmith with songs that cross through genres like folk, blues and jazz.
Since 2005 The Colin Holt Band have been working together– developing a unique collective sound, playing to regular sell out audiences in north-east England, and releasing five well received albums of original songs. Their latest LP ‘Skins Over Banjos’ was released in August 2024 to critical acclaim.
For the band’s upcoming Gateshead show saxophonist Snake Davis makes a welcome return. Once again he’ll showcase his wonderful creative weaving to thoughtfully crafted, original compositions.
With the talents of Chris Parkinson on keyboards and accordion (who has worked with artists such as Ralph McTell, Steve Phillips and John Kirkpatrick) and the multi gifted Paul Donnelly on guitar plus a new album to share and old favourites to savour, you’re guaranteed an evening to remember.
