A Rumi celebration: part chamber music, part carnival… brims with quiet intensity – Songlines ****

Internationally acclaimed Musician and Composer, Seyed Ali Jaberi, and the Hamdel Ensemble bring the mystical poetry of Persia’s beloved Rumi to life. This unique music production combines hauntingly beautiful Sufi music with whirling dervish dance and poetry.

All Because of Love presents a devotional Sufi setting of Rumi’s poetry, considered to be the ultimate expression of wisdom and love in the Middle East, with Jaberi’s original contemporary and traditional music compositions.

The production is accompanied by a post-show discussion, and a chance to find out more about Rumi’s spiritual philosophy and Persia’s Sufi music traditions.
