Who’s on stage

Enjoy an afternoon of talent, dedication and passion with the North East’s unique training programme for classical singers. At Samling Academy young people from schools and universities across the region take their singing to the next level under the guidance of opera singers, vocal teachers, pianists, actors and a movement coach.

What they’re playing

In this concert of song and opera, they singers be sharing what they have been working on over six days of intensive coaching and workshops. The music they’ll be singing is selected from what they’ve chosen to work on during the course and we can promise you a lively mixture of solos, duets and ensembles, with familiar favourites and new discoveries. You’ll see them accompanied by a team of Samling Artist pianists who are normally seen with the world’s greatest singers.
