Due to a family bereavement Alex Hitchcock will no longer be playing this show, and will be instead replaced by Mike Chillingworth. Statement from Ant below:
“We are sorry to announce that due to a family bereavement, Alex Hitchcock is not able to perform tomorrow evening. The formidable Michael Chillingworth (long term musical ally of mine) will be stepping in on alto saxophone. The band will still play the Same Moon music. Dynamic. Collaborative. An international jazz exploration.
British saxophonist Alex Hitchcock and guitarist Ant Law join forces for a special show with Danish bass hero Jasper Høiby and Korean drum monster Sun-Mi Hong. Following the success of their collaborative “Same Moon in the Same World” project, Alex and Ant composed new music specifically for this quartet featuring these two highly individual instrumentalists.
For this show the spectacular foursome will explore music from an upcoming album – the (as yet un-named) follow up to Same Moon, which was recorded earlier this year. Expect dynamic, free flowing and exciting music making.
