Newcastle International Chamber Music Series - Vienna Mozart Piano Trio
Passion. Grace. True classics.
Who’s on stage
The Vienna Mozart Piano Trio is the Auner family – Irina, Daniel and Diethard. They perform throughout Europe and Asia, and host an annual music festival near Vienna.
What they’re playing
They begin with Mozart – his elegant and graceful G major trio, the last work he composed in the genre. Schumann’s four ‘Fantasy Pieces’ include warmly romantic melodies, a classical Humoresque and a vigorous March finale. Brahms wrote his first piano trio at the age of 20, later revising it into a work that combines youthful passion with mature reflection.
