Turning scales into melody, and then into something that makes people feel something, does require a few steps. However, the confusion around how to do this can be explained, and I think with a little time and some effort any guitar player can create something they’re proud of.

This masterclass will focus on creating a ‘map’ of the fretboard, and then expanding on that within different stylistic mediums and the traits therein, to be able to freely create melodies and solos that mean something. Including live demonstrations of ideas that I have developed and put to work throughout my career as a musician, alongside a hands-on workshop for us all to work through the ideas discussed, this class will help you develop your lead guitar skills and techniques and further your musicianship, and your ability on the instrument

Tim Bloomer is a musician from Newcastle Upon Tyne. He graduated with a BMus(hons) degree in Jazz and Commercial Music in 2013, during which he specialised in guitar performance. Since then Tim has worked as a full-time performing and recording musician, becoming fluent in many styles of modern music and touring the UK and Europe extensively. He is currently playing guitar for ‘The Bodyguard – The Musical’ on the 23/24 tour.
