Make Music
2-DAY COURSE: Music Production & Technology – Record a live band! (Pro – Level 4)
This immersive and hands-on session is aimed at any music tech and production enthusiasts that have existing knowledge of digital music creation using DAWs and MIDI, and now want to delve into the world of Live recording!
The session aims to give you a snapshot into the world of studio recording and behind the scenes access into how some of your favourite tracks have been recorded!
Professional producer, Luke, will guide you through this 2-session course, using session 1 to teach the group the processes, techniques and professional practices for recording drums, bass, keys, guitar, and vocals, including microphone selection/placement, pre-amps, signal chains and monitoring. Session 2 will give you a professional understanding of how to get the best sounding mix of your live recordings, including vocal comping, editing, effects, and EQ.
You’ll even be given the raw recording ‘stems’ to take away with you and continue to work on your mix at home using whichever DAW or software you use.
