Kate Bond
Kate Bond is a neo-soul artist, who enthuses Lily Allen’s lyrical tone with a powerful political edge inspired by hip-hop. She has already gained national backing from the likes of Gemma Bradley, who has continued to support each song on Radio 1 since her debut single Beauty Sleep. She was aptly named BBC Introducing’s tip for 2022 and has just played her first Introducing stage at Summer Streets festival.
Kate’s feminism is clear through the lyrical content of her lyrics. Her debut single Beauty Sleep talks about sexual liberty and the dichotomy between men and women’s experiences of casual sex. Yasmine tells truths of internalized misogyny and how this allows women to accept toxic relationships. The tone of her music is very much inspired by her mother, who fiercely fought for women’s rights in the 70s punk era and always pulled Kate up on any ‘bullshit’ from a young age.
Her new single, which will be part of the EP and will start to echo this more full frontal political tone will be the song ‘We just want to be loved’. Written post Sarah Everard and pre the overturn of Roe vs Wade, it feels as though Kate’s message is timeless. Talking about the impunity of sexual assault cases and violence against women, the court based imagery that the song alludes scarily to the current struggle of women in America against the court of justice. Though relevant to current politics, the song was originally inspired by her own experiences and stories told by friends about their experiences at University.

Joe Ramsey
Joe Ramsey blurs the lines between singer-songwriter sensibilities and the full-band indie sound we know and love, giving us a fresh new take with creativity at every twist and turn. He shared his long-awaited debut EP Making Notes on March 25, showcasing a mature approach to songwriting and keeping it catchy without selling out his singer-songwriter roots.
Joe draws from the indie-meets-pop sound of the 2010s, crafting personal and honest lyrics with a refreshing perspective and rounding it off with stellar production. Produced by James Kenosha (Birdy, Rhodes, Mosa Wild) and supported by Help Musicians’ DiD, Making Notes is aptly titled, as Joe learns from the world around him and opens his mind to new ways of thinking both creatively and in his own life.
“With a cracking selection of five bright, sunshine-y tracks, Making Notes serves as the perfect summary of exactly what makes Joe Ramsey such a charmer. Two Sides and Stride harnesses that same burst of raucous, festival-worthy indie vigour we know and love, while Take It From Me shows a different side to Ramsey. Slower and far more introspective, this track hints at a more mature side to the singer.” – CLASH Magazine
“Another Day showcases Joe’s ability to weave intricate, upbeat melodics with his unique songwriting capabilities.” – 1883 Magazine.

Sisi
Sisi is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter from Stockton-On-Tees who has been releasing music for just under 2 years. Sisi has already garnered support from Radio 1 (Introducing tip of the week), Radio 1Xtra (Track of the week) and Kiss Radio. On top of this, Sisi is set to perform at Reading and Leeds Festival 2022 on the Radio 1 Introducing stage.
Eager to cement herself in the scene as a genre-fluid artist, Sisi’s goal is to reach the greats within the Afropop world but continues to experiment with sounds such as Garage and Pop. Receiving the award of Young Songwriter of the Year 2022 (UK & Ireland), Sisi’s talent has proved undeniable and at such a young age it seems that there will be no limit to her success.
