Belta. Buzzing. Double concentrate good vibes.

You can’t put a price on the buzz of a great gig. Or being able to say “I saw them live before they got big,” about that artist everyone’s just become obsessed with. But you can pay what you decide to find your future favourite artists at our ‘From The Glasshouse’ gigs.

Whether they’re getting local hype, or playing the North East for the first time, you’ll discover artists to get excited about.

Each From The Glasshouse has its own unique vibe. Sometimes it’s cosy with candle lit tables, string lights and chilled, ambient, or acoustic sounds. Other times there’s room to dance to faster and heavier sounds.

So, take the plunge and find out who’s going to be the next big thing.

Dilutey Juice

Dilutey Juice was created as a response to the pandemic, meeting a need to bring positive vibes and dance music to the public. Since then, they’ve seen an incredible response to their unique blend of Afro-Beat, house, techno, free jazz, and punk rock during their energetic street performances, gigs, party bookings and festival appearances.

Featuring Billy Bradshaw on trumpet, Ben Fitzgerald on Drums, Thomas Dixon on Saxophone and Lewis Wilkinson on sousaphone, Dilutey Juice have electrified audiences, supporting the likes of TOO MANY ZOOZ, Nubiyan Twist, Craig Charles and K.O.G. They’re eloquent, fierce and thrillingly out-there. For their set, expect double concentrate anthems, all night long.

Dilutey Juice took part in Summer Studios in 2023 and they played the BBC Introducing Stage at BBC Proms at The Glasshouse in 2024. We can’t wait to have them back.

Life Aquatic Band

Life Aquatic Band’s joyous music brings sunshine to drab days. A mix of 70s Pop and early 2000s ElectroClash – they sit somewhere between Graceland-era Paul Simon and LCD Soundsystem. In 2023, LAB returned with a new album full of positivity: ‘FREE SUMMER’.

Their single ‘Hello Good Morning’ received airplay from BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, Deb Grant and Tom Ravenscroft, whilst their second single ‘Brunch Mindset’ was playlisted and received considerable airplay on Lemacq’s Drive Time.

They have been touring the UK playing, including at Glastonbury Festival, Shambala, and Y Not, and won a public vote held by BBC Introducing to play Tramlines. They also toured as the main support on Skinny Lister’s UK tour. In 2024 they embarked on their own headline tour and took part in Summer Studios so they’re also making a very welcome return to Gateshead.
