Who's playing

Mcxxne

Mcxxne is a rising star blending smooth R&B/ Soul with amapiano and Afro-infused beats. Drawing from her multicultural roots— a Newcastle upbringing and Ndebele Zimbabwean heritage—her sound’s fresh, emotive, and relatable.

Inspired by Lauryn Hill, Rihanna, Raye, and Ayra Starr, Mcxxne’s tracks like ‘Energy’ and ‘Be Still’ showcase her powerful vocals and lyrical depth. Her debut EP Phonebooth has earned support from BBC Radio 1’s Jess Iszatt, BBC 1Xtra’s Theo Johnson, and BBC Introducing. She was named a BBC 1Xtra Introducing One To Watch 2025.

Mcxxne’s profile as a live performer is growing from performances at MOBO Fringe Festival 2025, joining DJ Ace’s ERNB New Wave UK Tour, and appearing at Reading and Leeds Festival 2025. With a distinctive sound and a rapidly growing following, Mcxxne is set for a breakout year.

Clara Pople

Clara Pople is the celtic/trip hop singer whose music fuses worlds — ancient and urban, ethereal and raw. A classically trained vocalist with Scottish roots and Cumbrian beginnings, she blends ghostly Celtic folk melodies with the shadowy pulse of trip-hop. Think stormy coastlines tangled with city sirens.

Clara channels the spiritual intensity of the natural world into a sound that feels both grounded and otherworldly. Her voice — part choirgirl clarity, part smoky soul — has drawn comparisons to London Grammar, Massive Attack, and Florence & The Machine.

Marina Josephina

Hailing from Stockton-on-Tees, Marina Josephina has a sound that’s both timeless and unmistakably fresh. Blending the rich textures of soul, jazz, and R&B with heartfelt storytelling and powerhouse vocals, her music resonates across generations.

Recognised as a BBC Introducing North East One to Watch 2025, Marina’s songs explore themes of female empowerment, mental health, love, and loss, delivering emotional depth wrapped in captivating melodies and unexpected rhythmic turns. Her songwriting is impassioned, relatable, and undeniably soulful.

Known for her electrifying live performances, Marina has supported legendary soul singer Alexander O’Neal and performed at Kendal Calling and Soundwaves Festival.
