An Evening with The Christians
Mellow. Underrated. Tunes aged like fine wine.
After being special guests for Level 42 at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, it’s great to have The Christians coming back.
The band burst onto the music scene in 1987 and their self titled album remains Island Records’ highest selling debut. Their follow up number one album Colour even knocked Phil Collins off the top spot.
These seasoned performers have mastered their craft over the years, sharing stages with James Brown and Fleetwood Mac at massive stadium shows.
The Christians are still at their best, fronted by the tall enigmatic Ray-Ban sporting singer Garry Christian, and they’re enjoying a resurgence. Fans can prepare for 90 minutes of hit songs including ‘Words’, ‘Harvest for the World’, ‘What’s in a Word’, ‘Father’, ‘Greenbank Drive’, ‘The Bottle’ and more. Plus there’ll be a little scouse banter in between.
