Backstage Episode #45: A mini conference on Inclusive Online Musical Learning
The efforts of community music groups to carry out their important work have been thwarted by the pandemic. But an online mini conference, MC2 – convened and hosted by Sage Gateshead – gathered together experts including Drake Music, MYMAZ and the Children’s Society to offer much needed support and encouragement.
In this episode, we hear from three of the attendees. Each of them runs a very different type of community music service – in Essex, Leeds and in Northumberland – and they tell us about the work they do, the impact of the pandemic on their activities and what they took away from this year’s MC2.
