16-25 years and fancy yourself as a music producer?
Whether you’re a complete beginner or want to further your skills in a pro studio you can delve into all things production with Making Tracks…
• Immerse yourself in a pro studio environment.
• Explore how different musicians use tech to create music.
• Learn about different software, mics and equipment.
• Meet professional musicians and producers.
• Identify your own style of production.
• Get hands on to create, write, record and produce music.
• Take away skills and techniques to implement in your own music making.
Open to everyone no matter your background, level of ability or musical interests – no need for any prior experience or musical knowledge.
In Making Tracks Intro you’ll discover the basics, working in a studio to learn about technology, mics, recording into Logic Pro, programming parts with software instruments, multitrack recording and mixing using plugins to create a demo.
Making Tracks Intermediate will take things to the next level in a larger studio.
You’ll learn about live multi mic recording, sampling and manipulating audio, sound synthesis, outboard equipment, creating textures and layers, and vocal production techniques.
Once you’re a member of the Making Tracks family, you’ll also get exclusive access to masterclasses with industry professionals to support your career in music production.

Spring Making Tracks 2025 sessions are in 10 week blocks beginning in January 2025.
Introductory:
Mondays 4.30pm – 6.30pm & 6.30pm – 8.30pm at Production Room Studio, The Business Works, Industry Road, NE6 5XB
January 20 & 27
February 3, 10 & 17
March 3, 10,17, 24 & 31
Intermediate:
Tuesdays 7pm – 9pm at Blank Studios, 210 Warwick Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE2 1BB
January 21 & 28
February 4, 11 & 18
March 4, 11, 18 & 25
April 1
Cost: £75 for the 10-week course.
