20/21 Season of Online Activity and Live Performance

In recent weeks and months organisations across the country have been talking and listening to government about how they should operate in the coming months. And arts organisations are no different. And we’ve also been listening to you, our audience, through A Future for Live Music in the North East.

Today, we launch our 20/21 season of online activity alongside a return to live performances this October with a seven-week series of concerts for everyone.

Sage Live 2020’ is a live performance series starting on 23 October and running to December. We’ll announce our programme on 6 October along with details of how to book.

In planning this series, we have made the safety of our audiences, artists and staff our top priority. Our decision to go ahead with live performance was made after careful, detailed planning to ensure we can operate in a COVID-secure way.

We’ll be teaming up with familiar names and new artists to represent the best of Sage Gateshead.

You’ll be able to experience live music in our world-class, COVID-secure venue or join a live streamed performance.

Please bear with us till that date, we’ll be announcing more information about reopening very soon.

Make Music is on sale today and is taking place for the first time online. This new range of online classes, which includes daytime and evening singing and instrumental sessions will be relaxed, fun and suitable for singers and players of varying ability from beginners to those who fancy a bit more of a challenge. The term starts on Monday 5th October.

Please sign up for our newsletter or log into your account and update your contact preferences to make sure that we can contact you by email to ensure you’re the first to hear about our events.

Due to the current circumstances, our Box Office is only open for outgoing calls at the moment as we focus on contacting ticket holders who have been affected by show cancellations and rescheduling. We are therefore only able to respond to urgent enquiries. We are working hard to get back to you as soon as we can.

Thank you for your patience and your continued support. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
