Music makes me feel

Are you ready to feel the music?

We asked young people at The Glasshouse how powerful music is in their lives. The result? A celebration of all the incredible ways music shapes us – from building confidence and making new friends to simply finding joy.

Our ‘Music makes me feel’ campaign is a look into the world of young music makers, seen through their words, stories and a special short film.

Dig into their stories to discover how music gives young people a place to express themselves, feel connected, and belong. And keep an eye out for our campaign in ads across the region over the next month.

Then ask yourself, how does music make you feel?

“How does it make me feel playing music? It’s just me… It’s like I’m in my happy place.”

Musical journeys

Music can take us to all kinds of places. We’ve gathered some of our favourite stories of musical discoveries and journeys from young people over the years.

“If you don’t feel the music, you’re not going to get anything across… When you feel what you’re singing, other people feel it through you.”

Behind the scenes

They brought the words, we brought the cameras. Together we made a film.

“I like how there are different types of music… I like sad songs because you can express yourself. It makes me feel happy for some reason, even though it’s a sad song!”

Music makes us feel... ready for the future

We all know music is mighty. It has the power to change lives. And we have the power to make music happen.

“For me, playing the saxophone is a relief from every other aspect of my life. It’s a way of expressing myself.”
