Brahms' First Symphony
Starts: 10 May 2024, 7:30 p.m.
Twists. Turns. Leave on a high.
Streamed live from The Glasshouse on Friday 10 May 2024.
Who’s on stage
To be honest there’s not that many true ‘celebrities’ of classical music. People who have a chance of being recognised on the street. Tonight though we’ve got one – the superstar saxophonist Jess Gillam, who hails from just over the Pennines in Ulverston.
What they’re playing
Unless you're the kind of person who writes concert blurbs you’ve probably not heard of Alexander Glazunov or Elfrida Andrée. Tonight you get to meet their music, plus there’s Johannes Brahms’ First Symphony.
How to watch
Our livestreams are available to watch for free on YouTube for five days after the live concert and then available on demand on The Glasshouse Player for a further 25 days.
Just log in using your usual details for The Glasshouse website (or create an account if you don't already have one) and you'll be able to watch again.
